Lindsay Lohan joined TikTok and the first video posted by the Tabloid Queen already has people talking. In the video, the Freaky Friday actress revealed that her fans (and naysayers) have been saying her name wrong all along. Even on a new social media platform, it seems Lohan knows how to make quite a splash right off the bat!

The 35-year-old actress uploaded her debut video to TikTok this month to introduce herself to the video platform. She told her followers, “Hey everyone. It’s Lindsay Lohan, and guess what? Now I’m on TikTok.”

While Lohan fans were excited to see the actress get her own channel on the platform, the big news that got everyone talking is the way she pronounced her name. Apparently, her surname isn’t pronounced “Low-hann” as fans have been saying for the past two decades, but “Low-en.” After 32 years of mispronouncing the children’s model-turned-actress’s name, fans are wondering what took so long.

Lindsay Lohan Is Back!

In 2020, Lohan confirmed her intention to finally return to the United States for a Hollywood comeback. Then, last November, it was announced that the Parent Trap actress was officially making her comeback to acting. The actor will be appearing in the upcoming holiday rom-com Falling for Christmas on Netflix, co-starring Chord Overstreet. The movie started filming in November 2021, and it will be about a woman who suffers amnesia after a skiing accident and finds herself in the care of a blue-collar lodge owner. It is set to release at the end of 2022.

After leaving rehab for the final time in 2014, Lohan remained out of the public eye, but made it clear that she was eager to get her career back (and it’s also clear that many people still support the talented actress). She did, however, make her stage debit in October 2014, starring in the London West End production of David Mamet’s Speed-the-Plow, a satire about the movie business.

After receiving lukewarm reviews, the actress switched her attention to her offscreen endeavors. In 2016, she opened her first club with her ex-business partner Dennis Papageorgiou, named “Lohan Nightclub,” in Athens, Greece. Then, in 2018, Lohan opened a Mykonos-based beach club, Mykonos Beach House, which became the setting of her MTV reality show Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club in 2019. The reality show ended after its first season because there is only one known fan of the series known for having bartenders that viewers may have met if they’ve ever been clubbing in Vegas or WeHo and serving drinks to C-list foreign DJs. However, Lohan’s 2019 wasn’t all bad: she created her own accent and re-signed with Casablanca Records to record and release her third studio album.
