A return to Witch Mountain is near, as Disney+ has given the go-ahead on a pilot based on its Witch Mountain franchise, reports Variety. The film franchise is based on Alexander Key’s 1968 science fiction novel Escape to Witch Mountain. In the book, Tony and Tia are orphaned teens with paranormal powers. The upcoming project makes some changes to the original, but according to its logline, it tells the story of “two teens that develop strange abilities and discover their sleepy suburb may not be as idyllic as it seems....
WWE Studios and A&E Network are teaming up for a slew of new Biography specials along with a brand new TV series, and both will premiere next month. Eight superstars will have their lives and pro wrestling careers highlighted in their own two-hour Biography documentaries, while the new show WWE’s Most Wanted Treasures goes on the hunt for some missing wrestling memorabilia. Both shows debut on Sunday, April 18, and you can watch a sneak peek preview below....
The theatrical release of Operation Mincemeat has been postponed in UK and Ireland. The John Madden film will be released on April 22, 2022, instead of the initial release date of January 14. Per Deadline, Zelda Williams will make her feature-length directorial debut with Lisa Frankenstein, a “zomb-com” written by Diablo Cody (Jennifer’s Body, Tully) about a teenager inadvertently resurrecting a corpse during a rainstorm - and then making the best of the situation. Its two leads have also been set as Kathryn Newton (Big Little Lies, The Society) and Cole Sprouse (Riverdale, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody) will be leading the cast, and the plan is to start shooting the feature later this summer....
