Comedy Central announced today that its hit series Workaholics will come to a close after its upcoming seventh season. The series was given a two-season renewal for Season 6 and Season 7 back in 2015, following another two-season renewal for Season 4 and Season 5 in 2013. Here’s what series stars and creators Blake Anderson, Adam DeVine and Anders Holm had to say in a statement. Deadline has the news of this show coming to an end, which was one of the first shows ordered to series under Kent Alterman’s regime as head of programming....

The show originally sought to find the worst home cooks in America but eventually began including some of these minor celebrities as well. The Big Show, WWE Superstar and world-renowned wrestler, is soon getting his own comedy series on Netflix. Aptly called The Big Show Show, the 10-episode series will feature a half-hour, multi-cam sitcom format. Josh Bycel (Happy Endings) and Jason Berger (Champaign ILL) are serving as the showrunners in addition to executive producing, with WWE Studios’ Susan Levison and Richard Lowell exec producing as well. Prior to his tragic passing in 2017, George A. Romero had something special in the works for fans of his genre-defining series Night of the Living Dead. Interested in concluding the original four-film saga that spanned over half a century, Romero would begin work on a brand-new feature sometime in the 2010s. Four years after his death, a substantial update in the film’s development had occurred: Suzanne Romero is now supervising the production of Twilight of the Dead, which will hopefully hit theaters in the near future....

LA Daily News reports that X-Men executive producer Lauren Shuler Donner is currently working on the cast for a 4th installment in the movie franchise. Renegotiations would be needed to secure the main stars of the previous three films. Zachary Levi has made quite a few fans from his portrayal of DC hero Shazam, but things could have been a lot different if he had been cast as Star-Lord in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
