Actor and musician Wilko Johnson has passed away. Johnson, a guitarist and singer who performed with Dr. Feelgood, was also known for his role as the executioner Ser Ilyn Payne in the hit HBO series Game of Thrones. It was announced on Johnson’s Twitter page on Wednesday that he passed away on Monday, though a specific cause wasn’t given. He was 75 years old. The announcement reads, “This is the announcement we never wanted to make, and we do so with a very heavy heart: Wilko Johnson has died....

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings was an underrated Marvel project that took a rather obscure superhero and brought him onto the main stage of the MCU. The film was reasonably successful and contained a few cameos from other Marvel films. Additionally, Destin Daniel Cretton became the first Asian-American to direct an MCU film and the first Asian-American to direct any Marvel film since Ang Lee worked on Hulk in 2003....

Musician biopics are continuing to be made, and it seems like Willie Nelson could be among the next to get a scripted film about his life. At Sundance, the new film Willie Nelson and Family is set to premiere, giving those in attendance an intimate look into the iconic musician’s life and career. The documentary is co-directed by Thom Zimny and Oren Moverman, who addressed the feature film in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter....

The Good An ambitious movie with very well choreographed action scenes. The Bad The FX in this film leave a lot to be desired. Taking place high in the clouds of China, the Zu Warriors, a renowned clan of martial arts fighters, will defend the world against a demon who seeks to destroy it. Mixing poorly done effects with masterful action sequences, the Zu Warriors is a boldly ambitious film that seems almost herculean in it’s presentation....

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse won’t hit theaters until June 2nd, 2023, but the new trailer just dropped on Tuesday. Finally, we get a new look at Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, and Spider-Man 2099. The new trailer for Across the Spider-Verse has plenty of new Spider-Men as well, even Issa Rae’s Spider-Woman. Throughout the 80s, Bill Paxton and Michael Biehn shared some mighty strong on-screen chemistry in such hit films as Aliens, The Terminator, and Tombstone, so it seems like a no-brainer that the two might reunite on an episode of Paxton’s hit HBO series Big Love sometime in the near future. Sadly that will mostly likely never happen according to Biehn, who was out promoting the upcoming Tombstone Blu-ray release, which hits stores on April 27th....

The world was saddened to hear of the passing of a truly prolific actor when William Hurt, aged 71, died on March 13th, just one week before his 72nd birthday. Unfortunately, the news didn’t come as too much of a shock as the actor had been diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer nearly four years prior in May of 2018. Even so, the world still mourns the loss of a man who gifted audiences everywhere with Academy Award-winning performances and on-screen moments that will never be forgotten by his beloved fans....

Who is the real-bad guy in The Incredible Hulk? According to William Hurt, who plays the Hulk’s long-time nemesis, General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, it isn’t him. When asked by Collider if Ross was a villain, Hurt answered “Noooo. He’s conflicted.” The characters of the Hulk have always had that conflict. While considered by fans to be a hero, to many the Hulk himself is one of the greatest menaces to mankind....

The Jurassic Park story comes to a major conclusion with the upcoming film, Jurassic World Dominion, which inspires some thought about where the franchise may be headed next. Historically, the brand has positioned itself as the classiest of human/dinosaur drama, but the subgenre from which it was born is a realm of shamelessly entertaining B-movies. Academy Award nominated actor Terrence Howard, co-stars alongside Robert Downey, Jr. in this summer’s Iron Man. In the film directed by Jon Favreau, Howard plays Jim Rhodes, Tony Stark’s friend, ally, pilot and in the comics, fellow superhero. In an interview with WizardUniverse, Howard talks about the process of filming Iron Man. Howard says that he was attached to the film in the role of Jim Rhodes even before director Jon Favreau came aboard....
