Of course, the news is not particularly surprising, given the popularity of the show. Still, the news is now officially confirmed, with the streamer also confirming the new season will consist of ten episodes and be released sometime in 2021....

According to new reports, Will Smith is coming back to Disney. The Sun reports that Smith will return as the Genie in Aladdin 2, the sequel that’s been slowly inching through its early development stages since the previous film was released in 2019. The report specifically notes that Smith’s Genie will play an “even bigger part” in the sequel than in the 2019 movie. If this new information is accurate, it would mark the first casting for Smith since the “Oscars slap” incident happened last year, though there have also been reports that Bad Boys 4 is still planned to happen as well....

The Hugh Jackman starring X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which serves as a prequel to the X-Men trilogy of films, has just wrapped their principal photography, which had been taking place in Australia and New Zealand. Our friends at IESB.net were told by Marvel Entertainment’s Kevin Feige that shooting has finishes in Australia, and there are only a few weeks left of filming on the second unit shots. According to early reports, X-Men Origins: Wolverine will share a tone with the gritty 1970s style action-films, which will make it an odd pairing with the X-Men movies....
Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon has wrapped filming. While the director’s DCU vision came to a premature end, he is now hoping that his work with Netflix will continue for a while as his “mature Star Wars” movie completes shooting. Production is moving forward on a Nosferatu remake at Focus Features, and the latest word on the project is that Willem Dafoe is close to joining the cast. Per Deadline, the actor is reportedly in talks to join the cast of the film, which would reunite him with director Robert Eggers.
