Who Are the Wonder Twins?

For those who don’t know, The Wonder Twins are some of the few DC characters to first appear outside of comics and find popularity. Brother Zan can transform into any type of water, while sister Jayne can change her shape to that of any animal. Each sibling wears a ring that, when connected to the other, allows them to use their powers. They also had a pet monkey named Greek, who would follow them on multiple adventures. Back in 2019, a comic miniseries of the brother and sister was released. The comic book was critically acclaimed and performed well commercially. The miniseries did so well financially that the number of issues was increased from 6 to 12.

Wonder Twins is the latest DC project in the works at HBO Max. A Batgirl film is scheduled for release in either 2022 or 2023. Leslie Grace will star as the titular heroine. J.K. Simmons will reprise his Justice League role as Commissioner Gordon, who is also the character’s father. Brenden Frazier will play the film’s antagonist, a pyromaniac known as Firefly. A highly anticipated Green Lantern TV show will arrive sometime in the near future. Multiple incarnations of the character, such as Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, and Alan Scott will appear on the program. Additionally, Sinestro, a former Green Lantern turned archenemy of the group, will show up in the series.

A television series based on the supernatural Justice League Dark team has also been announced. Another project is the show Strange Adventures, which will look at some of the lesser-known DC heroes, including the space explorer Adam Strange. Not all previously announced HBO Max titles will come to the entity. A movie based on the teenage superhero Blue Beetle was originally going to come to the streaming service. Blue Beetle, aka Jaime Reyes, is a teenager who is gifted powers from an alien scarab that attaches itself to his back. The motion picture will now debut exclusively in theaters. A Wonder Twins feature film will be a new addition to the DC Extended Universe.

Sztykiel is repped by UTA, Kapplan/Perrone Entertainment and McKuin Frankel Whitehead.
