Xochitl Gomez sprung onto the scene earlier this year with a massive role in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as America Chavez. Her character can jump between universes as her superpower, something that’s very intriguing for Steven Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). However, before the 2022 MCU film, her most significant role was in the Netflix series, The Baby-Sitters Club, where she starred as Dawn Shafer. Now, Gomez is looking for advice as she assumes a more prominent role within the larger expanse of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Luckily, Patrick Stewart made a brief appearance in Multiverse of Madness, and Gomez tells Collider that the veteran actor was more than happy to help the rising star. During her sit down with Colliders Ladies Night, she says she learned to always make herself available to her co-stars, as you never know who the next global icon will be.

Xochitl Gomez may very well be the next big star in Hollywood, just as Patrick Stewart has been over his illustrious career.
“Patrick Stewart gave me great advice, and it’s something that I will like carry on with me because it was just something that I know I needed when I first came in… He was like, you know, just make sure to pay it forward, and you know, be very welcoming to newer people…his main thing was that like, sometimes you never know, the person who’s in front of you might be the hugest star, and you don’t even know it. And I’m like, yeah, I mean, it’s always important to just be kind to everyone and, you know, treat everyone with kindness and respect people. And it just really hit me that it was like, yeah, whoever is coming into this and joining it, I really, I want to make sure that I reach out and let them know that I’m, you want to grab coffee? I’m, I’m available.”
Patrick Stewart Has More Experience Than Most People in Hollywood
Patrick Stewart has been a part of the entertainment industry for nearly sixty years, and his experience and wisdom are priceless in Hollywood. He played Capt. Jean-Luc Picard across countless Star Trek projects, becoming iconic for his role in the galactic franchise. Most recently, he’s starred in Star Trek: Picard, following his character after the events of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Nemesis.
Stewart is no stranger to Marvel, either. In 2000, X-Men was released, where the actor began his role as Professor Charles Xavier. His performance was enjoyed by fans and critics alike and has since become another part synonymous with Stewart. Logan, which was released in 2017 and saw the final performance from Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, was believed to be the last time fans would see Stewart as Professor X. However, his return in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was made that much sweeter since audiences believed the actor was finished playing the role.
If Xochitl Gomez is lucky, her career will manage to be half the length and the success of Patrick Stewart’s. So look out for Gomez to return as America Chavez in future installments of the MCU.
