On the heels of the hot genre action-comedy Zombieland, it’s no surprise a sequel has been discusssed, although it seems the sequel could happen in all three dimensions. Moviehole recently spoke to Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer, who revealed that they were discussing a sequel to the film in 3D.
Fleischer also said that his primary cast - Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin - would return in the sequel, although it may take awhile since they haven’t “cracked” the story yet.
But the most interesting development? Fleischer says the next film will likely be 3D - yep, mother-hopping three-dimensional Woody vs. Zombie action!!
Believing “the genre really lends itself to [3D]”, and convinced - via what we’re hearing and seeing of Avatar - the technology is now there, Fleischer’s very keen to throw a few zombie gizzards in our direction. “Dead” cool, right!?
